is there anybody out there?
I have strolled around the site and can’t find any new work to speak of...two year old posts are interesting reads for the most part but it doesn’t lead me to want to follow the person if there is no expectation of any new ideas. This leads me to a conundrum of sorts. How do I find newly written posts that will lead me to revelations of enlightenment?
I had/have this same problem. I emailed a friend of mine asked them. They gave me some helpful hints. Ask our friend, she has some good info on this.
ReplyDeleteOk, there are a few ways to find people on Blogger. One of the easiest ways is say you come to my home page . On the right hand sidebar, you can click on my friends blogs and see if any of them interest you , then if they do, put them on your list of blogs that you follow so when they post something new it will come up on your dashboard. When I find someone I like reading, I start commenting on their blog and usually they will pay mine a visit. Another way to find blogs is to use G+ At the top of the G+ page there is a search bar that says "search for people, pages, or posts" You can type in something you are interested in and it will bring you up some pages of people who have those interests , when you click on their "About" page on G+ many of them will list their blogger page if they have one.
DeleteAlso, on the top of your own page, or on the top of anyone elses, there is a button that says "next blog". You can click that and it will scroll through blogs, but that is hit or miss because usually I get foreign language blogs with that LOL
Not everyone has a "follow this user" button so you have to add them manually.
Also on G+ they have Communities. If you join several of those, you will get new contacts. Like I joined a photography community and some poetry communities. That is how I got the followers I have and a lot of them have Blogger blogs. Just go to the upper left of your home page on G+ and click "Profile" and then "Communities" and search for groups that interest you. Say "Writers" or "Canadians" or whatever else you want to search for. You can visit that community and see if it interests you , then if it does, you can post a link to your stuff there.
You will find the most active people on G+ these days and a lot of them also have Blogger or Wordpress which you can comment on WP with your Blogger account. And that is one of the key things to remember, sometimes you have to speak, in order to be spoken to :-)
Dang that was a long comment........sowwy :-)
Deletelove it..........
Deleteok, HEY LIA......
ReplyDeleteLOL what???
ReplyDeletethanks for the info...checked out that one guy with the AI post...
DeleteI justt used him as an example of someone who writes their own words and who was until recently fairly active. Also if you like a particular person, you click on their profile and it will show which blogs they have joined (most of the time) . You can scroll through those to find new people. There are a lot of ways to find active bloggers, though it is not as easy as it was on Blogster, but I LIKE the fact I don't have to look at everyone's nonsense to see what my friends are writing about. And most people on Blogger actually write their own words . I guess that is why in the end, I chose to stay here and focus on my friends and writing here.
